Chandni Chowk To China, Akshay Kumar's another block buster is Hindi Cinema's first Kungfu comedy. Chandni Chowk To China takes the audience on a mad journey from Delhi's streets of Chandni Chowk, to China's Shanghai City.
In the process, Depika Padukone's CC2C serves hilarious gags, action stunts, amazing locations and some emotional scenes.
Sidhu (Akshay Kumar) is a simple poor man, cutting vegetables at a roadside food stall in Delhi's Chandni Chowk. Struggling to escape his poor existence he tries to find solutions and meets astrologers and fake fakirs.
His happy time comes when Chinese tourists claim him as a rebirth of a war hero and take him to China. Sidhu who dreams of money and hot women in China is deceived by a translator, (Ranvir Shorey), and is taken to China to rid the Chinese village of the vicious smuggler Hojo (Gordon Liu)!
So Sidhu happily goes to China with Chopstick who creates false dreams of a golden future. Along the way he meets Sakhi (Deepika Padukone), who has come on a journey to pay homage to her dead father and twin.
Initially, Sidhu through a series of lucky coincidences manages to sidestep being beaten by Hojo's men but finally Hojo catches up with him and exposes him as the country buffoon that he really is. Sidhu has the fire of revenge in his belly and finds the one man who will make him a Kungfu expert and set the village free. Armed with his Sifu (master), faith in himself and the love of the fair Sakhi Sidhu sets forth to conquer all!
